About Us
Our History
The Erection Company (TEC) was founded in 1981 by Ironworker Adam Jones, Sr. From the start, TEC has been focused on erecting structural steel buildings all around the pacific northwest, primarily in Washington state but also venturing to Alaska, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, and California to work on state-of-the-art projects and make our mark on the world of steel erection. As TEC has grown, so have our projects. From sky scrapers and hospitals to stadiums and one-of-a-kind projects like Seattle’s Amazon Spheres, TEC does not shy away from a challenge. Leadership
TEC has been in business since 1981, and our founder has been in the industry for over 50 years. Each of our superintendents brings 15-25 years of experience supervising ironworkers in the Puget Sound, and our Project Managers have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management. Our entire management team is proudly located in the Pacific Northwest.

Careers
TEC is proud to employ Ironworkers from Local 86 Ironworkers union. All of our ironworkers are dispatched from the union, and we employee all skill levels, from 60%/step 1 apprentices to general foremen. For jobs outside of the Local 86 area, we hire ironworkers from the area Local we are working in.
