Safety

We work safe, or we don’t do it.

TEC is dedicated to ensuring our safety program achieves the highest possible standard of accident prevention.

Safety Training

Accident prevention and the reduction of on-the-job injuries are two major concerns on the minds of every TEC supervisor. In the dangerous endeavor of steel erection, TEC is dedicated to ensuring our safety program achieves the highest possible standards of accident prevention. We take risk seriously, and hold proprietary engineered fall protection that starts on the ground where we set our ironworkers up for success by installing safety cables on every beam.

All TEC crews start their day with stretch and flex that include a morning safety meeting. Each and every day, the day’s work and associated hazards and mitigation measures are discussed. In addition, we offer a training program for our employees, led by our Safety Superintendent, Ty Wheatley.

Safety Program

TEC’s Safety Program has the following goals:

  • The complete safety and well-being of each employee and his/her family through providing a safe working environment
  • Eliminating personal injury, reducing equipment and property damage, and preventing reoccurrences of accidents/incidents
  • Establishing responsibility and accountability for the safety program on each project
  • Achieve a uniformity of excellence in our working environment across all projects
  • Effect practical recommendations for improvement of the safety program
  • TEC’s ultimate goal is to provide zero defects in work performed, along with zero injury accidents
